TO CALI, WITH LOVE

—The Art of Happiness

To be continued …

Home at last! :)

It’s the weirdest feeling being back home - sleeping in my own bed, showering in my own shower, having 2 closets of clothes to choose from instead of the 5 shirts in my suite case, driving my car, not waking up an unfamiliar excited new place in the morning, and the list goes on…
Everything is exactly the same, yet so different sense I left.
But I guess it’s only been 4 months, not that long of a time for everything to change. I guess I just had this idea stuck in my head while I was gone, everyone else’s life’s were moving on without me, which meant everything was changing and different, but I suppose it’s a relief to come home to familiar territory.
I’m excited to get back into the swing of things for the next few weeks before taking off again.

The last 4 months feel like a dream, it’s the most bizarre thing! I almost wouldn’t believe it all happened, but it did! And it’s incredible and amazing.

I have grown so much as a person while traveling, and have learned and taken in so much. I couldn’t be more grateful and forever in memory for this amazing adventure and opportunity I taken. So stoked to get back out there!

Well, my flight home was ridiculous. Seriously lived Friday twice -_____- so painful! Had an about 48 hour day, with 3 hours of sleep from the night before, was up at 4:30am in Chania, and didn’t make it to San Francisco until 11:30pm and home to my grandma’s at 2:30am… sleep and bed felt like heaven!

The little nest April and I made across the 3 seats we took over …

Had 2 and a half hour wait in Chania at the airport, 1 hour flight to Athens, 3 and a half hour layover, 10 and a half hour flight to New York, 2 hour layover, & a 6 and a half hour flight to San Francisco.
The 6+ hour flight to SF was MISERABLE! April and I were seated on complete opposite ends of the airplane, I had a middle seat in between two guys, and was sooo tired I was delusional! It was the weirdest feeling being in that state, and not being able to control yourself. I honestly felt like I was on drugs.
I fell asleep with my head in my lap before we even took off, and kept waking up and going in and out of sleep. I woke up at one point to check the time and see on the map where we were, and could NOT focus! I couldn’t look at the map and figure out where we were. I was trying my hardest to focus and could not. I was freaking out! Then I woke up at another point and the flight attendant was asking me if I wasn’t pretzels or peanuts or cookies, and I couldn’t figure out what the hell she was talking about, and was just like “I don’t know! I need water!” And so she left me with water and peanuts.

Anyways, made it to San Fran! Got picked up by our Aunt and Uncle and taken to our grandparents house to spend the night. Got to spend the next morning telling our grandma all about the stripper, and all of our drunken nights, before heading home! Was so stoked to get home!

Well, I’m loving being back! Starting work in 2 days, oh man… I am actually kind of excited to go back, but I wonder how long that will last …

I am off to enjoy my next month of wild, fun times with my friends and family back home.

The next chapter will continue with my next adventure to Rome!

So until next time …
Wish you were here! ;)

Saying goodbye Greece

Last night in Greece … last night in Europe!
This is the craziest feeling, I feel like I have been gone for years, at the same time left only yesterday. It’s so strange.

I don’t really know what to expect going home, what will be different - if anything at all - how will I adjust… I don’t even know.

But I do know I am so excited right now to get home! I’ve sure missed home, my bed, my shower, my car, my friends & family … but most of all, I miss this . .

My beeeeeebeeeeeeeeee Pooshka! :D

How could you not miss this?!

Ooookay, anyways, I know no one really cares about my cat, and I sound like some weird old lonely lady! I’m not I swear!

Well, been enjoying the last few days here, sad to see it come to an end… but no worries. I’ll be back soon!
I will really miss Greece though, such amazing food, besides the beaches, Cretan Pies are my favorite thing here!

Our 2nd serving today - addicted I swear! Spinach pie & Cheese Pie!

Had more fun, wild nights out. Filled with creepy Albanian men that know your names and obsess over the fact that your from California and follow you around. But heeeey, it’s Greece, why not?!
& late night ice cream runs . .

Ditched my ice cream boyfriend, onto Hunky Dr Fish! ;)

Well, gotta be up in 4 and a half hours to go catch our flight home . .

CALI, HERE I COME!
